Disable View Record Link in Form List

I have an InterestGroups form whose list displays GroupName and Portfolio. PortfolioKey has Display Type _Lookup, Reference Form Portfolios, and Include In List If = true.

In the newest version of Five, the list now automatically displays a link icon with the tooltip “View Record” next to the Portfolio. Clicking it hides the InterestGroups list and displays the referenced Portfolio record full-screen.

I want Portfolio to remain displayed in the InterestGroups list, and I need to retain Reference Form = Portfolios for the lookup, but I do not want the View Record link/icon displayed in this list.

Is there a setting to disable View Record for a lookup field, either at the field, form, or list level?

I suppose I could simply turn off “Show in List” for the Portfolio field, but I kind of like being able to see in the list which groups are in which portfolios.

Thanks…

PS: I notice when I click on an item in the list to show the interest group details in the normal manner, the Category field (which does not show in the list) and the Portfolio field both have links in the fields themselves, which when clicked take you to those records. This is even more reason to be able to disable the “View Record” link inside those fields. So _Lookup seems to be the culprit. I looked for something in design mode when I clicked the < > link inside the Display Type field and it showed various properties of the _Lookup field type. It seems this should include a new property to not show that link icon if we don’t want it.

Any progress on this?

Hi Ron,

Currently the new feature has been added to work out the best way to create a link so the user does not have to find the form to view and edit records in the associated referenced form/table. We will discuss in our next product review meeting to include an option to hide the link.
