Cannot install Five

Hi,

I have downloaded Five, but when I am trying to install it I get an error message:
“FiveDesktop-arm-2.1.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

How can I get around this issue.

Thanks

Hi Sophie,

The reason this is happening is because we are still in the process of signing the Five Installer and executable with Apple, this will make Apple see us as non-malicious. To get around this please follow these simple instructions.

After you have downloaded and ran the installer:

1.Click the OK button to the message you are receiving.

2. Click on your System Preferences.

system-preferences

3. Click on the Security and Privacy preference.

security-and-privacy

4. Click the Open Anyway button.

5. Click the Open button.

Now you will be able to install Five Desktop. Start by clicking the Continue button.

You may also have to run the following command in the terminal to display some of the above options if they are not shown.

sudo spctl --master-disable

Happy coding!
