Customize DataView Displays

Is there a way to customize column widths for DataViews in the design window rather than needing users to grab and slide the column borders?

Sometimes it is difficult to fit everything into the screen. If we could give fields a width, similar to how you can make form fields a specified width, that would be amazing.

First column of most of my DataViews are buttons so I can execute code by clicking on them. Sometimes a button is not wide enough to show the entire text of that button. If we could customize column widths, this would help.

Alternatively, Can you modify the UI so if I hover over a button whose text is too long, it pops a “tooltip” up, similar to the way it works on the form list? That would really help.

Hi Ron,

If I may, you can customize the column widths in a Data View. In your Data View design window, select the Data Fields tab, then the desired field. There, you will find the ‘Width’ field where you can set the width.
