Hello!
My users mostly work in a Data View. To open an existing record, they click on a field with a function attached to its “On Click” event.
This function opens the form for that record:
function ShowDossierRecord(five, context, result) {
five.selectRecord('Dossiers', five.field.DossierKey);
return five.success(result);
}
However, to create a new record, the user must go to another menu to open the form list, then click the “+” button.
Is there a way to add an action button directly to the Data View that opens the Dossiers form in add mode, with an empty record ready to fill in?
I tried five.selectRecord('Dossiers', null); and five.selectRecord('Dossiers'); without success.
I also tried five.selectAction('Dossiers');, but this opens the form list, and the user still needs to click the “+” button. So this does not really help.
What I would like is for my action button to do the same thing as the “+” button in the form list: open an empty form to create a new record.
Is this possible?
Thank you!
Jean
